I know its a little early to start celebrating, but each day i pass the posters, the designs and all the commercials on TV, i get kinda excited and a little nostalgic about NDP.
kim yong asked me today if i missed NDP and he was sure i did. we both have had our times in the parade and i know we both enjoyed it immensely. how much more patriotic can a Singaporean get than to participate in the National Day Parade? it's quite a big thing la, for us lament people to watch it, let alone be part of it.
i kinda miss those days back at Kallang stadium. all those rehearsals, the singing, the crapping around and those super-fond memories. i guess it kinda develops a sense of patriotism and loyalty once u've been in the parade. i've been in it twice i think :P
though it may be early, it's only 8 days away. Happy Birthday Singapore!
